- Franco
Franco is a 12 year old with a winning smile which seems to accompany him wherever he goes. This positive young man managed to remain in school last year only because the school allowed him to care for a sty of pigs during the school year.
His prospect of remaining in school appeared bleak this year but he’s now grateful to a compassionate individual from Cranbrook who heard about his story and perseverance, and is providing all of his school needs.
HHU has thus far built two brick homes to replace unhealthy and vermin-infested mud and stick structures.
Franco’s family may be the recipient of the third home which will be funded from a generous contribution by J & H of Cranbrook. (Their present home is pictured below)
Proceeds from recycling bottles and cans also provides funds for building homes in Uganda.

Franco's family home which HHU may soon replace with a new structure.
