In 2009, God started a small ministry called His Hope Uganda. What He has done since then has been far beyond what we could have ever asked or imagined. For years, we have tossed around the idea of buying land. For a long time, it was like a pipe dream for us but at some point, we realized that it’s time to think about making it a reality. 

We are excited to share with you that we recently purchased a 2.9 acre piece of land in one of the villages we work in. It is in a location central to where we work and we believe that God has great plans for it. 

For the last thirteen years, our office and ministry centre have been operating out of a simple house that we’ve been renting. It has worked well but with 150 students in our program, it is a place that we outgrew years ago. Our office is also several kilometres away from most of the families we work with, which makes it difficult and expensive to maintain contact. 

Our vision for land includes a proper office, a community youth centre, and a compound big enough to have a garden and an area for our kids to play. We don’t know where our plans will go after that, but they could include a small guest house and possibly even a school one day. 

We are now in the planning stages of development. We plan to raise money in two more phases. Next year we hope to raise money for fencing and engineering plans, followed by the final phase for building.
